PPP with Charitable Hospital

    About the scheme:

    To provide comprehensive emergency obstetric service and new born care to the people of urban slum areas and remote pockets of the State, National Health Mission, Assam has implemented the “PPP with Charitable Hospital” scheme. 

    The hospitals under the scheme have to follow the fixed set of ToR (terms of reference) set by NHM, Assam. Under the scheme emphasis are given in the following area-

    • 1. Encouraging institutional delivery for women of slum dwellers.
    • 2. Routine antenatal check-ups (ANC) to all pregnant women of slum dwellers.
    • 3. Awareness on taken care of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
    • 4. Basic laboratory services for expected mothers.
    • 5. Coverage of outreach areas.
    • 6. Conducting outreach camps for disease screening and
    • 7. On referral services.

    Presently there are total seven (7) number hospitals are running under the “PPP with charitable hospital” scheme. An amount of Rs.15.00 lakh is given in a financial year to these hospitals for rendering above mentioned services in two instalments-

    1. First instalment is released for the activities as proposed and approved in Action Plan prepared by the hospital.  

    2. Second and subsequent amount is released on submission of utilization report of previous amount.

    1. Burrows Memorial Christian Hospital, Cachar,
    2. Siva Sundari Nari Sikshasram Hospital, Cachar,
    3. Borgang Catholic Hospital, Biswanath,
    4. Chatribari Christian Hospital, Kamrup Metro,
    5. Makunda Chriastian Leprosy and General Hospital, Sribhumi,
    6. Red-cross Hospital, Sribhumi,
    7. Catholic Hospital, Diphu, Karbi Anglong,
    8. Crofts Memorial Hospital, Tokrajhar, Chirang.
