Tribal RCH Programme in an initiative taken by the Government towards the people which are otherwise deprived of health care facilities due to geographical backwardness, lack of sufficient health infrastructure and human resources, etc.
Tribal RCH are envisioned with a technical team comprising of 1 Medical Officer along with 2ANM, 1 Pharmacist, 1 Laboratory technician, 2 MPW/ SW and a Grade IV to provide preventive and curative services.
Presently Tribal RCH programme embraces 5 districts of Assam namely Baksa, Chirang, Dima Hasao, Karbi Anglong and Kokrajhar. (Baksa and Dima Hasao included in the year 2013-14 only).These districts are identified due to the population pattern comprising of tribal population with geographical inaccessibility (remote terrain area) to reach to the peripheral health facility for the remote inhabitants.
IEC activities will also be undertaken to generate awarenes, and health promotion during the camps.
